Major (Retd) Md Ekahee Boaksh

Major (Retd) Md Elahee Boaksh, MD of a real Estate Company of Bangladesh called Imperial Heights is a Director of BIEI. Formerly, he served in Bangladesh Army in the corps of infantry for two decades and a half before retiring as a Major. While he has extensive training and capabilities of the Armed Forces of the country since his commissioning in 1986 till retirement in 2011, he has also gathered business experience and acumen in the construction, development and real estate sector which is relevant to a big project like BIEI.

His military service enabled him to serve in the security and intelligence department and as Detachment Commander in three different Army Formations. He also served twice in the UN Peace Keeping Missions – one in Kuwait (1999-2000) under UNIKOM and the other in Africa (2007-08) in Liberia under UNMIL. He attended many military intelligence courses abroad. His business work in relation to the Metro rail project under Dhaka Mass Transit Development Project provided him unique experience in Government and semi Government construction projects as well.

His much interest in the work and activities of education and institution building projects is natural as he is deeply engaged in the field of infrastructure and he is keen for higher education for the overall development in Bangladesh.
